LIVE GUEST PORTRAIT SKETCHES
Give your guests a wedding favor they'll treasure forever!!
How many portraits can I do per event?
I try to keep it to one or two people per drawing, but I will draw three people if time allows. All drawings are in the style of traditional fashion sketches. Some brides prefer a faceless style, others want a simple face. That's up to you! I can draw 1 person in roughly 5 minutes or 2 people in about 10 minutes. Depending on your wedding guest list size, not all guests may get drawn. Please keep in mind, not everyone will ask for a portrait as well! I have found that most guests that want this done are able to do so with no problem!
Is there a line? Do guests need to stand there while I draw them?
Nope! Once a guest approaches my table, my assistant or I will take their photo so your guests can get back out on the dance floor. If the guest prefers to watch that’s ok too! I ask the guests to pick up their drawing no later than the end of the night. I will only draw from photos that take during the event.
How do guests know what to do?
I provide signage for my table and I usually have an assistant with me to help get the crowd up to speed with what is going on.
I also communicate with your DJ to announce the station.
How long do I work for?
Typically I like to get lots of guest reference photos while they mingle during the ceremony or during the cocktail hour. That way I can do a lot of drawings while people are eating dinner and hearing speeches. When I finish, drawings are on my table where I'll be working in the reception area for pick up. I'll continue to draw guests until our timeframe is up - you are hiring me hourly, so you can have me there till the end of the reception if you like. This will include 1-2 15 min breaks.
Will I draw the bride and groom?
Of course, if you like! However, included in your package is a custom bride and groom drawing that will be delivered after the wedding in a much more refined, detailed style. This allows for the couple to interact and be present on their wedding day with their guests!
What will the couple need to provide?
I will bring my art supplies, table lights and signage. I require you or the venue to provide a table with 1 chair (preferably at least a 4' rectangular or square table). Feel free to decorate it as you wish! If your cocktail hour is located in a separate location, I require a table to be set up in both locations, and I will move my art supplies into the reception space when your guests begin to transition. Please locate the table near and outlet so I can plug in my light.
Fee
My fee starts at $335/hr for a minimum of 4 hours. If your venue is 1.5hours or more from my home in South Jersey (medford) I require a $200 travel fee so I can cover the cost of spending the night. If you’d like to book, I ask for a $295 deposit that goes toward the total balance. The rest of your balance is due two weeks before the wedding date. We will sign a letter of agreement to make sure we are on the same page with all of the details and I will connect with your venue or wedding coordinator to make sure everything goes smoothly.
Email or call if you’d like to move forward!
